2014 was a big year for Hynes Industries. In addition to being acquired by new ownership, Hynes also undertook a large move that involved the consolidation of 5 separate manufacturing plants and offices into one facility. It is rare for a company to experience either a buyout or a move in 10 years, and Hynes experienced both in less than 12 months.
So far, 2015 has brought about even more changes. Current Chief Executive Officer Jim Blair has recently announced that he will be retiring as President and CEO. Before serving as President, Jim was the CFO for over 7 years at Hynes. He effectively led the entire organization during one of the most challenging times the company has seen and his hard work will not be forgotten.
Hynes Industries has hired Greg Gyllstrom as the new President & CEO. Greg brings over 30 years of experience to the job in various manufacturing settings such as Transtar Holding Company, Visteon Corporation and Ford. Additionally, Greg graduated from the University of Illinois where he received a degree in Marketing. Greg also earned an MBA from DePaul University with a focus in Marketing & Finance. He has spent a majority of his career as CEO of leading manufacturing firms and recently served as a Platform Consultant to The Edgewater Funds
Hynes has made some additional changes to the Senior Level Management team. Dave Brautigan has also been hired. He will take on the role of Senior Vice President - Operations for all facilities. Dave has a long and successful history of Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement experience.
With Dave's Arrival, Pat Montana will assume the role of Senior Vice President - Strip Steel / Flat Wire / FlexAngle Sales and Marketing.
