YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, November 9, 2022 — Hynes welcomed students from the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center’s (MCCTC) Advanced Manufacturing Tech Program to its Youngstown facility on October 19. While there, the students received a tour of the plant and a presentation from Hynes executives, which included a Q&A session.

The goal of the event was to highlight the industry—specifically roll forming—and give the students an inside look at what it’s like working in a manufacturing environment. It also aimed to help prepare them for work in the industry, providing them with real-life demonstrations, safety tips and potential career routes.

“At Hynes, we’re committed to serving our community by educating the next generation of manufacturing leaders,” said Hynes Industries President and CEO Rick Organ. “We’re thrilled about this opportunity to showcase our facility and career opportunities, and we are confident that this is a step in the right direction in establishing a partnership with the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.”

Hynes has also partnered with a number of other local schools, universities and various outreach programs, including the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition and the YMCA of Mahoning Valley’s Summer Manufacturing Institute, to educate those in the community about Hynes and the manufacturing industry as a whole.
