American Roll Form Products was awarded the 2013 Safety Award by the Lake County Safety Council in conjunction with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. The award honors organizations for their efforts in preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace. The accolade was recognized by U.S. Congressman David P. Joyce, representing Ohio’s 14th congressional district, who bestowed a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and Achievement.
ARF credits the award to safe operating procedures that include a lockout/tagout program, job hazard safety assessments, a safety incentive program, implementation of 5S methodologies, improved near miss and incident reporting, and weekly facility audits. The company’s safety program has reduced recordable injuries by 66 percent decline and days away from work by 40 percent.
ARF was also recently given the Pitcher Insurance Agency Safety Award by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), a trade association representing the $113-billion metalforming industry in North America.
ARF offers full-service metal fabrication combined with engineering experience to improve product function, design and quality.
The Lake County Safety Council provides safety information, training and recognition in support of workplace safety awareness. The council is sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene, in cooperation with the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce.
