YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio [Oct. 7, 2026] – Hynes Industries has named Robert T. Moe President, effective Oct. 1. Moe, who joined the company in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer, now leads all operational functions at Hynes, including production, quality and engineering. Rick Organ, previously President and CEO, continues as CEO.
Hynes Industries manufactures custom roll-formed and fabricated metal components for the data center, truck-trailer, automated material handling, solar energy and commercial-industrial markets from facilities in Youngstown and Painesville, Ohio, and Kokomo, Ind. The appointment brings design, development and execution under one leader as the company continues a period of rapid growth.
“When Robert first worked with us as a consultant, he didn’t just take an interest in our business, he brought real insight to it,” Organ said. “Over the past seven years he has earned the respect of our employees, customers and suppliers. He’s a strong leader with a real command of process. As we grow, it makes sense to put production, quality and engineering under one person, and I’m very confident Robert is the right person for that role.”
Moe’s path to Ohio is not a typical one for a manufacturing executive. He was born and raised on an island off the west coast of Norway where he grew up in a family business in transportation, and started his career at a young age. He later served as President of a national NGO, representing the organization before the country’s Parliament.
He studied law at the University of Oslo before moving to Paris, where he studied at the Sorbonne and later earned a master’s degree in management from ESCP Business School, specializing in Finance. Moe continued his career in investment banking in Paris before moving to New York, where he spent nearly a decade as a management consultant on Wall Street. During that time, he focused on designing and implementing large-scale global Target Operating Models, driving process improvement through the use of advanced data analytics.
“Joining Hynes felt like a return to my roots – an opportunity to become part of a company with a proud legacy, a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence, and a culture that thrives on taking on the most challenging projects for our customers,” Moe said.
Moe now lives in northeast Ohio with his wife and two daughters.
