ARF adds roll forming expertise, West Coast presence to metal fabrication leader.

American Roll Form Products (ARF), a full-service, custom metal fabricator, announced its acquisition by Hynes Industries, a 90-year-old leader in roll formed shapes and strip steel products. The deal closed on Aug. 18, 2015.

“We are excited for this new chapter in ARF’s history,” said ARF President Phil Misch. “ARF brings 55 years of experience and roll forming expertise to Hynes, along with West Coast manufacturing capabilities and salesforce. I’m looking forward to transitioning into my new role as Vice President of Sales and General Manager, in which I will continue to guide our Painesville division.”

Headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, Hynes Industries serves the truck trailer, solar, overhead door, steel service center and industrial markets. The company specializes in standard and custom roll formed steel shapes, slit coil and strip steel products, specialty wire and flat wire shapes. ARF offers metal fabrication processes, engineering consulting services, inventory management, assembly and shipping.

“We are pleased to have their team join our family,” said Hynes Industries CEO Greg Gyllstrom in a release announcing the acquisition. “They bring new markets, valuable expertise, additional manufacturing capacity plus a manufacturing and commercial presence on the West Coast. ARF will be rebranded under Hynes Industries, and its 110 employees will join the company’s team of 160. As a result of the acquisition, Hynes Industries will have manufacturing operations in Youngstown, Ohio, Painesville, Ohio, Las Vegas, Nevada and Kokomo, Indiana.
