YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, April 19, 2022 — Hynes is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive the 2021 Top New Workplace Campaign Award from the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
The award, which was presented at the organization’s annual meeting on April 7 at The Lake Club in Poland, recognizes the company that raised the most funds out of all the new workplace campaigns for 2021. In total, Hynes Industries raised more than $9,000 for the United Way, which contributed to the campaign total of $3,476,600.
Several Hynes employees attended the event, including CFO Ryan Day, Youngstown Production Supervisor Dan Mullenax, Marketing & Communications Specialist Michelle Renda-Sisler, Regional Sales Manager Nick Abdeldayem, Youngstown Plant Manager Jeremy Gurski and Business Analyst J.J. Kasprik.
“It was an honor to accept this award at the United Way’s annual meeting,” said Day. “Having a positive impact on the community is an integral part of Hynes’ culture, and this award represents the difference we’re making. We’re thankful for the opportunity to partner with the United Way and for our committed—and generous—team of employees.”
According to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, the money raised will be put toward programs benefiting those in need in the Mahoning Valley. Some of these programs include Success by 6, Success after 6, the Imagination Library and Satur-Day of Caring.
In 2021, Hynes reestablished its partnership with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, which dates back to the 1960s, to help support and reinvigorate the local community.
“We’re thrilled to receive this award from the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley,” said Hynes Industries President and CEO Rick Organ. “Not only does it represent our commitment to the community we’ve been a part of for so many years, but it represents the dedication and willingness of our employees to help those in need. We’re proud of this accomplishment, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.”
